Definitive Images is a husband & wife / photographer & stylist team in Austin Texas. Our portrait photography business was founded in 2006 and rocketed to popularity almost immediately. The combined skill and creativity of stylish makeup artist, Ashley Rodriguez and award winning portrait photographer, Christopher Ferguson helped to quickly set Definitive Images apart from the competition. Rather than relying solely on tried and true portrait photography techniques, posing and presentation, Definitive Images strives to make every session fresh and different. We urge our clientele to customize the look and feel of their photoshoot, collaborating with us on ideas based on anything from personal hobbies to favorite music CD covers. All of Austin has been our studio and every charming nook and cranny of this beautiful city continues to be sought and exploited as the perfect backdrop or scene for our creative and compelling portraiture.
The goal of each shoot is to provide a memorable experience while creating a portrait that glimpses an individuals’ character and situation, not just appearance. And we do so with an eye catching style and flair that is uniquely Definitive Images . We definitely have a great time doing this, relishing in both the freedom and the challenge of constantly coming up with new concepts and themes for our clients. We are very fortunate to have found an audience that supports and encourages our growing body or work and the continued growth of our business.
Definitive Images has also served as a great jump point for the photographer. Christopher’s unique lighting style caught the interest of central Texas’ photography community and in January 2007 he used the attention to forge the Strobist Austin Flickr group, a thriving club of “strobist” photographers. This group provided the perfect base for his foray into workshops and with the help local commercial photographer Steven Noreyko, the popular Creative Portrait Lighting Workshop series was born. Today, Christopher is well ingrained into the art of photography and had diversified into other segments of the field. CFerguson Photography in the commercial and corporate markets, WannabePhotographer.com and it’s latest Photo Trek workshop series and the Austin Wedding photography collective We3, which is under development.
